, y) w- u- _- m5 cWhat are my responsibilities?

Continual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
! j" f/ Q5 z  @% wOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
2 w, \* S" r4 l5 @4 KOrder processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
# l4 o' `& B4 B, M' X1 p, |" aResearch, define and provide terminology
8 H. Y6 x/ j4 }- i6 z% IAdvise customers on a technical and linguistic level
Support and advise external translators
2 i4 ?7 T0 v$ ^' b4 pUpdate the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior

0 h# H/ ~6 s9 F. w2 \What do I need to qualify for this job?

7 N! ^5 C: n* q3 NBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
9 e) S" }3 N+ p/ H$ F  f3 JWell grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
  Z' P$ G" e! a' u3 FExcellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
Ability to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
Prefer basic understaning about German
