From our SLC Global Service Business Process Shared Services (BPS) Business Shared Services (BSS) Global Translation Services (GTS) CN, Siemens are looking to recruit a professional Translation Specialist.

What are my responsibilities?

$ t. J3 v+ Z+ a$ W1 hContinual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
0 M) S+ H% N, Y4 k. u% Z1 M  iOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
9 @0 ?" O( R4 o0 n. A  |5 V' _/ YOrder processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
Research, define and provide terminology
0 O$ I* l5 ]+ L# ^( v; HAdvise customers on a technical and linguistic level
Support and advise external translators
- ?  P+ d  O0 M& }/ NUpdate the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior

, M3 X: T& D5 r) E, [What do I need to qualify for this job?

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
" s: g$ X3 z$ h, I/ @Well grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
- l, Q& ^1 w' t) F# HExcellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
3 s4 z3 ^* o3 W- H5 l9 i' g3 EAbility to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
Prefer basic understaning about German
