From our SLC Global Service Business Process Shared Services (BPS) Business Shared Services (BSS) Global Translation Services (GTS) CN, Siemens are looking to recruit a professional Translation Specialist.

What are my responsibilities?
  ]. h1 p: v7 ^2 r8 k
Continual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
8 D$ r/ @# c2 a+ n& \Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
Order planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
, C* E" b0 Q: {' W! B2 O, ]" D  N  QTranslation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
Research, define and provide terminology
Advise customers on a technical and linguistic level
8 N0 Q+ Z0 P5 a  ^- a+ P/ LSupport and advise external translators
7 M' I) Q! N0 B# R" Y$ f" T/ gUpdate the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior

# n& N& R% D9 F& F, x" V% }4 g& D# jWhat do I need to qualify for this job?
( h9 g0 p, `" ~4 a6 v6 H
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
. b) v$ h) G" [# a- YWell grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
5 }! Y' n/ l) {8 @9 [Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
" E+ f2 K( S( a. {3 pAbility to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
