From our SLC Global Service Business Process Shared Services (BPS) Business Shared Services (BSS) Global Translation Services (GTS) CN, Siemens are looking to recruit a professional Translation Specialist.

* X, H, }0 D7 k0 BWhat are my responsibilities?
; _! ^* H7 y( `  I# R, u" R
4 u. w; J; Q) |5 `" [/ kContinual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
5 M) G. U- j* B) o8 h" N: d6 uProject acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
; i! ]( }  d- u/ l% BOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
' F4 D% ?. s, ]Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
1 a8 L4 R7 Q) c8 lOptimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
) Z& [# o9 f, {6 b) dTranslation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
4 x9 g+ G- m! g  H7 h% D8 B4 UResearch, define and provide terminology
Advise customers on a technical and linguistic level
Support and advise external translators
Update the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior

$ Y0 ~- e3 ~- ]: hWhat do I need to qualify for this job?

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
) J+ x* D: M, j4 tWell grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
Ability to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
+ Z, ^0 e8 u, R7 U& DPrefer basic understaning about German
