0 K* P: E( n3 [* {) d) zFrom our SLC Global Service Business Process Shared Services (BPS) Business Shared Services (BSS) Global Translation Services (GTS) CN, Siemens are looking to recruit a professional Translation Specialist.

What are my responsibilities?

/ V, B. I) s# Z9 ?Continual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
1 f9 g" {7 k5 H) Q  N! ~, {Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
; l* J5 I4 d( ]- r% zReview translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
  Z1 w" `0 ?$ G9 m' G7 xOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
+ [7 U; X' ^1 STranslation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
' N/ }7 D& @* L' VResearch, define and provide terminology
3 a3 t$ A9 p/ f0 GAdvise customers on a technical and linguistic level
$ t$ C6 T' ?. _Support and advise external translators
Update the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior

' Q0 M# Q$ o! e! z; O7 f, NWhat do I need to qualify for this job?

' s) |4 M' X1 h0 [: NBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
8 j" i# z* W& h1 A" }& ?. ~( CWell grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
/ F2 _7 m- \& I* hExcellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
) p$ k! c4 k4 \5 [4 J. J! a# sAbility to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
% ~8 T& ^8 @7 |" i$ b! h! \Prefer basic understaning about German
! x# i1 N7 q% z* |& d
