What are my responsibilities?

, \) U% A! m  q. Q7 s0 yContinual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
7 E5 O6 \: N9 v7 w. ?; W! h% hProject acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
! D# s( S; l& |% \" [Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
- S' I2 O; S# n$ _, ^) yOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
9 o7 U8 t2 h5 B9 v; O  X: EOptimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
$ Y% k* k) W+ F% F3 dResearch, define and provide terminology
Advise customers on a technical and linguistic level
9 k" B4 g$ ?; eSupport and advise external translators
; y( i- q4 {' |- C6 @  uUpdate the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior

What do I need to qualify for this job?

! j; m7 D# q! V. G0 V5 oBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
! @7 Q. W# S" Y- f1 dWell grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
Ability to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
Prefer basic understaning about German
