别对我的法语期待太高。
我不会讲法语，我能看懂一点法语（在需要的时候），但是不会讲（法语）。
I'm immensely honored to be awarded this year's L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award.
非常荣幸能够被授予今年的欧莱雅·联合国教科文组织“世界杰出女科学家奖”。
Compared with the laureates from the past years and this year, many worthy candidates, I'm truly... humbled, I should say, to receive this award with deep appreciation and gratitude.
可以说，入围的候选人，他们都有资格获得这一奖项。因此，今天我能获此殊荣，我倍感惶恐，也深表感谢。
On this occasion, it is impossible for me not to reflect on my career in vertebrate paleontology.
在这个特殊的场合，如果不跟大家讲讲我的古脊椎动物研究生涯，那是说不过去的。
I started to study paleontology some 60 years ago when I was a student in Lomonosov Moscow State University.
我的研究生涯开始于大概60年前，那时我还只是一名在莫斯科国立罗蒙诺索夫大学读书的留学生。
But at that time, my choice of career was even not my own. It was arranged, much as an arranged marriage. We even have a saying in Chinese "to get married first, then have courtship”. In Chinese we say “先结婚，后恋爱”, some of you I think understand Chinese.
但在当时，我的事业发展道路并不由我做主，都是被安排好了的，就像古代的包办婚姻一样。就像依据中国俗语所说的“先结婚，后恋爱”。我想在座的各位当中，有人能够听懂这句中文。
I want to thank my Russian and Swedish mentors and professors for guiding in my early years.
我要感谢我的俄罗斯和瑞典导师们，是他们指导了我早期的研究。
I want to thank all my colleges, past and present, in China and elsewhere, for their help to me over years.
我还要感谢我共事过的所有同事，不论是过去的还是现在的，中国的还是其他地方的。感谢他们这么多年以来对我的帮助。
And I also want to thank my family for their support over the years, especially my daughter. For leaving her to her grandmother when she was only one month old, when she came back to me, she was ten. And she never complained.
当然，我还想感谢我的家庭对我的支持，特别是我的女儿。在她只有一个月大的时候，我把她交给了她的奶奶。当我把她接回来的时候，她已经十岁了。但是她从未有过任何抱怨。
