希波克拉底誓言

A Modern-day Physician’s Pledge

《希波克拉底誓言》穿越2500年的悠远时光，流传至今，几乎已经成为世界各国医学生入学的第一课，也是众多医学专业毕业生走向工作岗位的庄严誓词。2017年10月14日，在美国芝加哥世界医学会（World Medical Association，WMA）大会上，在各专业医学权威的见证下，《希波克拉底誓言》第八版正式发布：

AS A MEMBER OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION:

作为一名医疗工作者，我正式宣誓：

I SOLEMNLY PLEDGE to dedicate my life to the service of humanity;

把我的一生奉献给人类;

THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF MY PATIENT will be my first consideration;

我将首先考虑病人的健康和幸福;

I WILL RESPECT the autonomy and dignity of my patient;

我将尊重病人的自主权和尊严;

I WILL MAINTAIN the utmost respect for human life;

我要保持对人类生命的最大尊重;

I WILL NOT PERMIT considerations of age,disease or disability,creed,ethnic origin,gender,nationality,political affiliation,race,sexual orientation,social standing,or any other factor to intervene between my duty and my patient;

我不会考虑病人的年龄、疾病或残疾,信条，民族起源、性别、国籍、政治信仰、种族、性取向、社会地位,或任何其他因素;

I WILL RESPECT the secrets that are confided in me,even after the patient has died;

我将保守病人的秘密，即使病人已经死亡;

I WILL PRACTISE my profession with conscience and dignity and in accordance with good medical practice;

我将用良知和尊严，按照良好的医疗规范来践行我的职业；

I WILL FOSTER the honour and noble traditions of the medical profession;

我将继承医学职业的荣誉和崇高的传统;

I WILL GIVE to my teachers,colleagues,and students the respect and gratitude that is their due;

我将给予我的老师、同事和学生应有的尊重和感激之情;

I WILL SHARE my medical knowledge for the benefit of the patient and the advancement of healthcare;

我将分享我的医学知识，造福患者和推动医疗进步;

I WILL ATTEND TO my own health,well-being,and abilities in order to provide care of the highest standard;

我将重视自己的健康，生活和能力，以提供最高水准的医疗;

I WILL NOT USE my medical knowledge to violate human rights and civil liberties,even under threat;

我不会用我的医学知识去违反人权和公民自由，即使受到威胁;

I MAKE THESE PROMISES solemnly,freely,and upon my honour.

我庄严地、自主地、光荣地做出这些承诺。
