Today marks the Lunar New Year for Chinese communities in Canada and around the world. Friends and families will come together to celebrate the Spring Festival, honour traditions, and welcome the Year of the Rat, a symbol of wealth, energy, and intelligence.
今天是加拿大和全球华人社区的农历新年。朋友和家人将聚在一起庆祝春节，尊重传统，迎接鼠年，鼠是财富、活力和智慧的象征。
This is a time to celebrate new beginnings and reflect on our goals for the coming year.
此刻我们庆祝一年崭新的开始，思考来年的目标。
Here in Canada, it’s a chance to recognize the many contributions Chinese Canadians have made, and continue to make, to our country.
在加拿大，春节还给我们提供了机会，去了解加拿大华裔为我们国家做出的并将继续做出的许多贡献。
From one generation to the next, Chinese Canadians have helped make Canada strong, inclusive and prosperous. And that’s as true today as ever.
