Hello! As Lord Mayor of the City of London, and the principle ambassador of the UK’s leading international financial and professional services sector at home and abroad, let me wish all those celebrating around the world a very happy, and prosperous, Chinese New Year.
大家好，作为伦敦金融城的市长，我也是英国国际领先的金融服务业在全球的商务大使。让我为全球庆祝中国新年的人们送上祝福，祝大家新春幸福美满，繁荣昌盛！
As the Year of the Dog makes way for that of the pig, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the contributions that businesses from China make here in the City and indeed across the UK as a whole. It’s also the ideal moment to look ahead to the future, and to the challenges and opportunities that 2019 will bring.
送走狗年，迎来猪年，值此新春之际，我们再次回顾中国企业在伦敦金融城和英国所做的贡献。同时也让我们展望未来，迎接2019带给我们的机遇与挑战。
We’re already doing this in the City through my mayoral campaign “Shaping Tomorrow’s City Today”, an ambitious program promoting innovation and technology, championing digital skills. As the UK finds a new role for itself on the world stage post-Brexit, it’s now more important than ever before to increase our engagement with developing countries where the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the digital revolution if you may, is now well underway.
我们已经开始行动，比如我倡导的“今日塑造明日之城”市长项目，目标就是宣传创新与科技，引领数字技术。因为英国要在脱欧之后为自己在世界舞台上找到一个新的坐标，因此与发展中国家的合作显得日益重要，迎接新兴的第四产业革命（数字化革命）。
I therefore look forward to my visits to China in the Year of the Pig, and to celebrating the occasion with my Chinese friends here in the City. So as the red lanterns glow, and families around the world sit down to enjoy hearty meals, here’s hoping for a prosperous new year for all one filled with happiness, compassion, and most importantly, cooperation.
因此我期待在猪年访问中国，同时与伦敦金融城的中国朋友们一起庆祝中国新年。当大红灯笼闪烁，家人团聚享受美宴，我在此恭祝各位在新的一年美好富足，幸福安康，更重要的是，携手同行！
