Family reunions are sacred and to be unable to make it home is unthinkable. This massive migration begins on the 10th of January and is expected to last for the next 40 days.

Chinese authorities expect nearly 3 billion trips to be made, of these 440 million trips will use China's high speed railways, that's over 5,000 two-way train services each day. To relieve congestion, more than 1,000 stations in the country will use the e-ticket system. Passengers can board trains faster using a valid ID card or a QR code.
