What are my responsibilities?! G0 G4 e, G9 `6 r% W0 K
+ u2 B/ r/ A6 C. F" PContinual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders N9 n5 D0 R% U3 V/ Q
Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
; h7 O1 J! o+ dReview translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
+ B$ x e: p6 J/ t' d* GOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
2 S8 ^- ]7 A/ N8 l+ POrder processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
5 L7 x6 o9 S) X: c* f4 KOptimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results2 G; b* S0 n! ^5 ?% M
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors; y3 x$ N. e* r6 U$ ~
Research, define and provide terminology: J5 E: I B. I M' G+ z) p
Advise customers on a technical and linguistic level$ `$ Y: \/ Q; w5 n5 _
Support and advise external translators5 W! a+ O; J- J) k
Update the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior

What do I need to qualify for this job?3 W9 C( R5 Q6 U
( y, H1 G; A j7 x2 r3 p8 t3 J* P2 RBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience# K' X) l! T% M" H7 [
Well grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
6 ~& m9 k7 ~: ~- YExcellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
8 v- X( D; d% \1 sExcellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
