I have been deeply moved by the determination of the Chinese people to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
中国人民抵抗新型冠状病毒传播的决心让我深受感动。
Having already taken over 1300 lives and ripped apart families and communities in Hubei, the virus has rapidly become a very serious threat to public health throughout China and around the world. I want you to know the American people stand with you in this time of crisis.
新型冠状病毒已经夺走了1300多人的生命，使湖北的家庭和社区支离破碎，并已在中国各地乃至全世界各地迅速成为极其严重的公共卫生威胁。我想让你们知道，在这一危难时刻，美国人民与你们站在一起。
We understand what is at stake. The United States government helped deliver nearly 18 tons of donated medical supplies to the Chinese people in Hubei.
我们了解危险所在。美国政府帮助向湖北的中国人民运送了近18吨捐赠的医疗物资。
We stand ready to deploy world-class medical professionals either directly to China or as part of a World Health Organization expert team to support China’s efforts to combat this new coronavirus.
我们做好准备将世界一流的医学专家直接派往中国或者加入世界卫生组织专家小组，以支持中国对抗新型冠状病毒所做的努力。
And on Monday, we announced our readiness to spend up to $100 million to contain and combat the virus.
周一，我们宣布准备就绪花费高达1亿美元来遏制和抗击这种病毒。
These steps – along with the hundreds of millions generously donated by American companies, charities, and private citizens – demonstrates our desire to do everything we can to help the Chinese people overcome this challenge.
这些举措，再加上美国公司、慈善机构和公民个人慷慨捐赠的数亿美元，体现了我们竭尽所能帮助中国人民克服这一挑战的愿望。
Much work remains to be done, and I wish the Chinese people continued strength and fortitude, but I believe that working together, we can have a profound impact to contain this growing threat.
