Good evening. In the first month of summer, the starry sky at night is magnificent. In this booming season, the guests from Asian countries together with artists and youngsters are gathering here. In the form of the Asian Culture Carnival we celebrate this joyful cultural festival.

First of all, on behalf of the Chinese government and the Chinese people, I would love to extend our warm welcome to the guests and artists from all nations.
Flowers fill this spring garden and everything comes back to life. All Asian nations are home to ancient and splendid civilizations. They are unique in themselves and remarkable as a whole. They reinforce each other in harmony. The diversity of Asian civilizations renders the Asian cultures richer, more colorful, and more vibrant.
Tonight, such a beautiful flower of Asian culture will burst into bloom to the full. Art will transcend the ethnic boundary, connect hearts and bridge ideas, presenting to the whole world a shinning Asia, a dynamic Asia and a peaceful Asia in progress.
The Chinese have always championed the concept of benevolence and good neighborliness, as well as the idea that a good relative or neighbor shall hope all the best for the others. The Chinese people sincerely hope that all Asian countries could look after each other and ride on the same boat while we are marching forward along with the world’s progress and while we are developing ourselves along with the international trend. Let us join hands together to co-create a better future for Asia and the world.
