Continual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders( {- A2 g$ S/ |* r+ `: s! M
Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS * ?. B9 s! O% N' B( I5 fReview translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations : O$ \" _! A3 c0 ]4 P* @' U" UOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring# i- p _$ ?5 B& Z7 B' N% M
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications: }! B; e) i f8 M4 i
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results9 c6 N% z" @/ ]8 T
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors 6 G ?! ?8 W5 @Research, define and provide terminology + k8 w0 j! R' U% O# i% \6 T! DAdvise customers on a technical and linguistic level/ X* ~* X H8 r N8 g
Support and advise external translators& V, L' V7 j6 G( ?9 E
Update the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior } i: o9 i$ c
# R# m$ ^, s: Y' v. | What do I need to qualify for this job?# f& H, r& q9 O7 ^* j
) T8 `* g+ ?& k$ r2 J# y7 jBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience+ J* l9 ]& @# _( Z# L( Y3 d
Well grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company) - f) f+ p1 U' M ~) F$ x: U; c0 Z0 OExcellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market * R6 V3 k3 H$ F& b9 J* KExcellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus2 h: k2 Z1 }4 a+ f0 G.
