Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations & P- B! r+ C4 i: v wOrder planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring 1 u3 A/ x6 t9 b* N) VOrder processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications - v7 ~6 ^6 O; y( ]) POptimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results6 p; |9 i# i. b- E8 }
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors P+ x7 {9 J G
Research, define and provide terminology5 f4 A, v$ c& \# U8 G
Advise customers on a technical and linguistic level) \- C- o" _ Q' a% ~
Support and advise external translators' }+ _1 z# Q! k- o& n& @; l
Update the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior 5 S4 g) s+ ~+ X/ B1 c$ N ; _8 _/ V1 K' T2 h) b What do I need to qualify for this job? % q' i. {) D$ `" }# g # ]1 A* e1 H0 m( t( z* e: h; IBachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience. i Y# w3 X) W F- f0 {0 ^7 }
Well grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company) 7 Y5 w, m) W* z% Y$ VExcellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market , R7 Q4 `8 _" a& T% K' ?9 l5 y, p# s8 gExcellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus % j0 o8 w+ g) _' Z" [! e9 h4 @ k1 cAbility to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills( m* R: q1 x- `% k' n
