A" A7 n7 | - t" q- d$ J" |; t$ B0 eThe New Zealand Embassy in Beijing is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as policy adviser/interpreter in the trade & economic team. The focus of this position is on supporting New Zealand’s trade and economic relationship with China. ! Y+ V5 @2 \6 i5 z6 R# l 7 l5 J+ ?. v0 |/ t. W! WKey tasks: - Z8 Z4 Y+ t* r8 v • Undertake research and analysis. ( y' Y N' e3 O • Provide policy advice and reporting on trade/economic developments in China. - g4 i% U% u5 T$ Z • Build up a network of contacts in relevant Chinese agencies and institutions.& ?( _" G8 D9 Q1 w. • Assist with arranging visit programmes and meetings for New Zealand ministers and officials.5 y$ X" d g- N+ f! w8 m6 y8 |

• High degree of oral and written proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.% k4 E( t! {: m r/ s6 K

• Relevant tertiary qualification 9 [& E. @4 m- K • Research and analytical skills.: g) B$ R( Q+ v# S8 Y! {. r; {
• Well organised, able to manage a large workload. : B1 [" Y1 B: _5 U9 c* u3 ^ • Strong initiative, a problem solving mentality, and ability to work independently on tasks. 1 V3 E1 _- s O5 e# ~ • Flexibility and adaptability.! H7 L; W; K8 w9 P% w
